Released on 26th September 2014, Plastic Bejausus, a collection of 12 of our favourite songs, has been well received by audiences.  Available from gigs or by dropping us an email for a mere £5 plus £1 p&p.

Here are just some of the things that have been said about it...

"This is brilliant! Dr Thud's Remedy's new CD 'Plastic Bejaysus' ... gracing the CD player in my car today on the way back from Truro. Loving it!"

Tanya Brittain, Looe Music Festival Drector.

"Four miles in 31.49. Pushing out the distance and under 8 min miles - must have sorted my ankles. This run was powered by Plastic Bejaysus, the new album from Dr Thud's Remedy - thanks guys."

One Happy Punter

"It's alright I suppose."

My Mum

Riverflow (M. Chapman, The Levellers)

This track is taken from our CD, Plastic Bejaysus, recorded and mastered in September 2014, by Doc at PMC Studios in Plymouth.

The album features former tea-chest bass player Magick Brian, pictured here in the video.  Good luck whatever you're doing now Brian - on the river flows!

Recruiting Seargent/Morrison's Jig 2012

This traditional anti war song has been given our own spin, with the familiar Morrison's Jig intertwined.  A favourite for getting the crowd dancing at live shows, it showcases the talents of Dr Thud's bodhran nicely, while giving the fiddle a good airing also.  This one's a bandpleaser and a crowdpleaser!

Plastic Jesus - Freedom Festival, Plymouth 2013

We've had a load of fun with this track, the title song of our 2014 album Plastic Bejaysus.  Originally an old temperance song, discovered by us through the film Cool Hand Luke, starring Paul Newman, we've revved it up a notch or two, and it's turned out to be a perfect show finisher!  There's even a dance to go with it, developed by our very dear friend, Aunty Pat McCauley, who can clearly be seen at the front, arms in the air!

Broad Majestic Shannon (S. MacGowan, The Pogues)

Dr Thud's Remedy came together through a mutual love of The Pogues, among other things, so it seems right that they feature in our set.  This recording is from 2010, a session (not again!) in the Seven Stars Inn, Tamerton Foliot, one of Plymouth's oldest pubs and provider of consistent warm welcomes.
